DESCRIPTION:In a bid to advance scientific research\, the SUNSTONE Project
 \, under the SESAME initiative\, is launching a free online training progr
 am starting in April 2025. This program is a series of General Online Lec
 tures\, designed to provide researchers with in-depth knowledge of synchro
 tron radiation techniques\, which are vital in a wide range of scientific 
 disciplines.The first series of SUNSTONE online lectures will take place o
 n four days during the period 8-29th April 2025\, with each day dedicated
  to a unique research theme. On the first day (8 April)\, participants wil
 l be introduced to the basics of synchrotron radiation and its role in sci
 entific research. The following days will delve into specific thematic are
 as. Day two (16 April) will focus on Archaeology &amp\; Cultural Heritage
  Using X-ray Computed Tomography\, where participants will learn how synch
 rotron radiation aids in the analysis and preservation of historical artif
 acts. This non-destructive approach allows researchers to examine artifact
 s in 3D\, revealing hidden layers and assessing material compositions with
 out damaging the objects.\n\n\n\nOnline training lectures that will take p
 lace on 4 days during the period 8-29 April\, namely 8\, 16\, 21 and 29 Ap
